Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that delivers the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If a visitor contacts us directly, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
The hosting service creates routine logs, including an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review aggregated patterns to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, fix technical issues, measure aggregate traffic, and improve its materials. We do not sell a visitor list or create profiles of individual readers.
External Sites and Search Tools
Links lead to Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts, library, archive, and third-party resources. The policy of the destination controls information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results, which are supplied by a third-party company.

Hosting and support providers process the technical logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is otherwise disclosed only when a valid legal process requires it.
Data Security

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, that person may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a website keeps. Because Cambridge Residents Directory retains very little, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or relevant logs. Use the Contact page to make that request. Massachusetts public records held by state, county, or city custodians are outside our control, and a correction or removal request for such a record belongs with its custodian.
