3. No Consumer Reporting Function

Cambridge Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing here, or returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search providers, set their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, availability, charges, or data handling.

5. No Warranties

The reference is offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that its content is accurate, complete, or current, or that an external portal will operate or return correct results.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from misuse of the reference or a breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and brief attributed quotations are welcome. Republishing complete pages or systematically copying content is not permitted.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after a revision means acceptance of that version.

10. Access Restrictions

We may block or restrict a user who violates these terms or abuses the reference, at our discretion and without prior notice.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Requests to public custodians are addressed through the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c. 66 § 10, subject to applicable exemptions including M.G.L. c. 4, § 7(26).
